ai.therapy explained.

Everything you need to know before your first session. Short version: $2.99 buys you an hour with a fictional therapist who understands volatility, rug pulls, and 3am chart anxiety. Longer version below.

How it works

1. Pick your therapist

Four characters, four therapeutic approaches. Choose based on what you need right now — not on who has the best meme. Each character's modality is listed on their card.

2. Pay $2.99 (or use free session)

First session free. After that, each session is $2.99 and gives you one hour / 100 messages / never expires. Pay via card, or hold $THERA and pay with token (roadmap).

3. Talk. That's it.

Text chat first. Voice is Phase 2. No diagnostic questionnaires, no intake forms. You say what's going on, the therapist responds.

4. Continue or switch

Cross-character memory is a Pro feature ($29.99 pack) — Sage will know what Oracle heard. Or keep each session self-contained. Your choice.

Why $2.99? Traditional therapy is $150–200/hr. That's a barrier. $2.99 removes it. If therapy is free-enough, more people will try it. That's the whole thesis.

$THERA is the utility token of the ai.therapy protocol. Launching on Base.

Create your own therapist

You can generate a private therapist for yourself — design their backstory, therapeutic modality, voice, and portrait. One prompt, one mind, yours to talk to.

Publish (invite-only at launch)

FAQ

Is this real therapy?

No. These are AI characters, not licensed therapists. They can hold space, reframe thinking, and be the 3am conversation partner you don't have — but they cannot diagnose, prescribe, or replace professional mental-health care. If you're in crisis, see the disclaimer below.

Is my conversation private?

Yes. Messages are stored encrypted in your account. We never use your conversations to train models or share them with anyone. You can delete any session at any time.

Why fictional characters instead of "generic AI therapist"?

Because archetype works. You're more likely to open up to The Sage than to "TherapyGPT". The framing changes how you show up. This is design, not marketing.

Does the $THERA token do anything on day one?

At launch you can already pay for sessions in ETH on Base at a ~10% discount to USD (0.001 ETH = Session, 0.01 ETH = Pro Pack). $THERA itself launches shortly after — it'll replace ETH as the primary session currency and unlock creator publishing, staking, and governance.

Why anonymous team?

Because the product should stand on its own. We'll answer questions in Discord and ship publicly. No doxxing theater.

What if I want my money back?

First session is free. If a paid session wasn't worth $2.99 to you, email refund@ai.therapy and we'll refund, no questions. Same goes for unused Pro packs.
