Terms of Service.

These terms apply to anyone using ai.therapy. By using the service, you agree to everything on this page. If you don't agree, don't use it.

Who can use this

• You must be 18 or older.
• You're mentally capable of agreeing to these terms.
• You're not going to use us as a crisis hotline, emergency service, or medical provider.

What we give you

• Access to AI-powered conversational characters (therapist, coach, guide archetypes).
• Text and voice chat with these characters.
• Optional character generation (paid tier).
• Conversation memory across sessions.

Uptime is best-effort. We don't guarantee 100% availability. Occasional downtime happens.

Payment

• Sessions are paid in USD (via Stripe card processing) or ETH/USDC on Base.
• All payments are final at the moment of processing. Crypto payments are non-reversible by nature of the blockchain.
• Refunds: If a paid session didn't work for you, email ai.therapy.free@proton.me within 7 days. We refund stripe payments back to the card; crypto refunds are at our discretion and may be issued as credit.
• Prices are shown in the currency you're paying in. No hidden fees beyond the standard payment-processor fees (Stripe ~3% on card, ~$0.01 gas on Base).

What you can do

• Use the service for personal reflection, conversation, and support.
• Create your own characters (generated via our tooling) and share your character links.
• Keep or delete your data at any time.

What you can't do

• Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or automate access to the service.
• Don't use it to impersonate a real licensed therapist, coach, or medical professional (if you are one, be clear about AI involvement).
• Don't publish characters that incite harm, spread disinformation, sexualize minors, or violate applicable laws.
• Don't abuse the free tier by creating multiple accounts to bypass payment.
• Don't share your paid session credits commercially.

Violations: we remove your character or account. Severe violations: legal action + platform-wide ban.

Characters you create

• You retain ownership of characters you create.
• By publishing a character, you grant us a license to host, display, route conversations to, and sell sessions involving it.
• Creator revenue share (when monetization is live): creator earns a % of paid sessions routed to their public character. Exact split published when activated via the $THERA token mechanic.
• We can remove any public character that violates these terms. Private characters stay with you.

Characters we ship (Hazel, Nathan, Soku, Luna)

These are our founding characters. We own them. Conversations with them are yours — but the character personas, voices, and imagery are ours.

Crypto + token

• $THERA is a utility token on Base. Not an investment. Not a security. We don't guarantee or forecast value.
• If you buy $THERA, buy it to use it on the platform. Not to hold for price appreciation.
• All crypto interactions are your responsibility. We don't custody your keys.

Data + privacy

See our Privacy Policy. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, we don't sell your data, you can delete it anytime.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time — no notice required. We can suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms, with notice when reasonable. Unused session credits are refundable if you close your account within 30 days of your last purchase.

Limitation of liability

We provide this service "as is." We're not liable for decisions you make based on conversations with AI characters. We're not a medical provider. For a full list of what we are NOT, see the Disclaimer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll post a note on the landing page and change the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes = acceptance.
